Job description

Health and Safety Manager - Construction/Utilities

Location: Bromsgrove, West Midlands

Salary: £55k-£65k + package

Responsibilities
  1. Support the Group Health and Safety Manager by providing guidance and assistance to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all employees.
  2. Deputise for the Group Health and Safety Manager during their absence or when necessary.
  3. Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring the strategic health and safety plan.
  4. Help develop and track corporate health and safety objectives and targets.
  5. Promote continuous improvement within the group.
  6. Provide regular health and safety reports to the Management Board.
  7. Offer competent health and safety advice to employees regarding their duties and responsibilities.
  8. Assist in risk assessments related to health, safety, and well-being, and facilitate the implementation of necessary measures.
  9. Contribute to the development and enforcement of group health and safety policies and procedures.
About You

The ideal candidate will hold a relevant qualification, such as a NEBOSH diploma. Experience in utilities, civil engineering, or mechanical and electrical construction is advantageous. You should possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others. Strong time management, organizational, and decision-making skills are essential, along with proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office.
