About the Company

Connect44 offers flexible, bespoke solutions to our Telco customers under three operational pillars: Plan, Build, Manage. Our primary goal is to provide cost-effective, end-to-end solutions across mobile and fixed telecoms networks. We work as part of the Connect 44 Group Assurance Function to support wider compliance activities across the Connect 44 Group.

About the Role

  • Provide occasional support to ensure our existing ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 are maintained and improved, including policy and process reviews with our Group Compliance function, internal audits, and external audit support.
  • Offer guidance and clear direction on how to uplift our management systems to be fit for purpose for current field maintenance activities.
  • Provide guidance on how to uplift our management systems to be CDM compliant based on the scope of planned activities.

Responsibilities

  • Support pre-sales activities related to EHS management, such as RFI/RFPs.
  • Uplift and maintain existing EHS management systems to support telecommunications field engineering activities, e.g., mobile rollout, site maintenance.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance and retention of applicable accreditation standards, e.g., SafeContractor, ISO 45001, ISO 14001.
  • Work with UK operational teams to ensure EHS compliance across activities, adopting a hands-on approach.
  • Establish frameworks to monitor and report on EHS compliance.
  • Drive continual improvement of EHS management systems.
  • Conduct on-site audits, potentially nationwide travel required.
  • Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses for EHS-related events, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and lessons shared.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks across projects and office environments.
  • Deliver or coordinate EHS training and awareness initiatives, particularly for field engineers.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant EHS legislation and best practices, advising stakeholders accordingly.
  • Knowledge of EcoVadis and CDP is desirable, with additional knowledge being a plus for the Group.
