Job Description:

Due to our continuous expansion, we are currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Graduate to join our busy SHEQ team.

Location: Mobile with Welwyn Garden City base

Hours: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

Main responsibilities include:

• Preparing project-specific risk assessments, method statements, rescue plans, and lifting plans
• Inspecting PPE/FPE/RPE for competence
• Providing SHEQ compliance advice, guidance, and ensuring adherence to legislation and industry best practices
• Conducting inductions, training, and toolbox talks
• Monitoring, auditing, and reporting on SHEQ performance across yard, logistics, and project operations
• Promoting health, safety, environment, and quality management best practices
• Supporting supply chain activities and raising SHEQ standards
• Investigating and reporting accidents, incidents, and non-conformances, with recommendations for corrective actions
• Performing statutory inspections, internal audits, site SHEQ inspections, and PAT testing
• Implementing policies and procedures effectively across the business

Ideal candidate qualifications:

• Experience in the construction industry, especially working at height, scaffolding, construction hoists, mast climber work platforms, and plant (desirable)
• Degree in Health & Safety accredited by IOSH or NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety; professional memberships like IOSH, IEMA, CQI are advantageous
• Proficiency in email, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and report writing
• Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills
• Experience supporting business contracts or professional functions
• Approximately 2 years of relevant business experience
