Job Description

I am currently working with an excellent business based in the North of Manchester who are looking to bring a Health and Safety Coordinator into the business, they are ideally looking for someone who can identify process improvement opportunities within an already solid Health and Safety framework.

The Role:

* Developing and continually reviewing company H&S policies and procedures to limit accidents and reporting mechanisms, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation and HSE best practices.

* Produce and maintain up to date H&S documentation including risk assessments, training logs, and accident reports.

* Working closely with departmental managers and staff to ensure health and safety measures are practical and understood.

* Ensure timely investigation of accidents, incidents and safety observations, tracking all correction actions to completion.

* Onboarding new staff – ensuring Health and Safety training is delivered on day one.

* Conduct environmental assessments.

* Draft environmental procedures and policies.

* Develop, implement and monitor Waste Management Plans.

* Developing procedures for safe handling & storage of hazardous products.

What we are looking for:

* Strong background in Health, Safety Management Systems and compliance.

* Experience working in a manufacturing environment would be ideal.

* Environmental, Health and Safety, Quality experience or qualifications – NEBOSH.

* Excellent attention to details, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
