Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Rotational shifts, 4am - 4pm and 11am - 11pm

Location: Gatwick Airport - RH6 0JW

Company Overview

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Coordinator to ensure the continuous development and execution of Health and Safety across the business.

Role Responsibilities

1. Provide day-to-day HSE support, guidance, and advice to the Operational Management Team and aligned functions to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, CAA guidance, and company standards.
2. Support the implementation of HSE standardization and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with DHL and customer goals.
3. Assist in developing, implementing, and communicating all relevant HSE policies at the station.
4. Support the HSE Business Partner to drive engagement and promote a Just Culture/Safety Culture within the station.
5. Coordinate HSE activities on-site to support the HSE Business Partner.
6. Monitor incident management systems for accuracy and quality, and analyze trends.
7. Maintain the Safety Improvement Plan, including leading and lagging indicators.
8. Conduct Safety, Health, and Environment audits and create action plans in accordance with safety arrangements and audit schedules.
9. Assist in managing the site H&S committee.
10. Manage risk assessments and safe systems of work schedules.
11. Ensure timely completion of accident and incident investigations, implementing actions to prevent recurrence.
12. Support audits and monitor corrective actions to meet corporate and customer requirements.
13. Assist in managing claims.
