A leading construction firm in the UK is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor to drive best practices across operational teams. The role requires managing inspections, advising on safety objectives, and supporting compliance with HSE legislation. Ideal candidates will have a NEBOSH certification, strong communication skills, and experience in civil engineering projects. The company offers a competitive salary and additional employee benefits.
We need your help to inspire and help our busy operational teams execute their work consistently, using "best in class" health and safety practices. We'll leave you to decide how best to do this, although we know that you won't be standing on the sidelines holding a clipboard and grimacing.
We'll support and encourage your naturally inquisitive nature as you seek to understand the operational challenges your colleagues face on site. We'll be looking for practical H&S solutions and helpful advice delivered in a style that motivates your audience. We'll encourage you to create communications strategies that resonate and inspire from in-person conversation to video and podcasts.

We'll also be looking for you to demonstrate an innovative approach to problem solving and originality when landing messages with your operational colleagues. Significant experience in an advisory role, underpinned by a thorough understanding of current HSE legislation is essential. A NEBOSH Construction Certification or equivalent i.e., HNC in Construction as a minimum and a Tech IOSH Membership and working towards Grad or equivalent. Driving licence and experience with utilities, water or civil engineering projects essential.
