Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and experienced HSEQ Advisor to champion Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality (HSEQ) initiatives across our operations. This part-time role plays a vital part in ensuring compliance, promoting a strong safety culture, and engaging with staff at all levels. Ideal for someone with a background in chemical or engineering environments, this is a great opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a flexible working arrangement based in Worcester.

Key Responsibilities:
Risk Assessments & Safety Management

Conduct and review risk assessments, developing safe systems of work with teams and supervisors.

Maintain key safety documentation, including COSHH assessments and MSDS records.

Provide guidance on HSE policies and regulatory compliance.

Implement a risk-based Management of Change process.

Training & Development

Coordinate onboarding training for new starters.

Lead training sessions on HSEQ practices for staff and management.

Site Inspections & Compliance

Perform routine site inspections and audits, tracking and resolving non-conformances.

Ensure timely close-out of improvement actions.

Legislation & Policy

Stay up-to-date with evolving HSE regulations and ensure internal compliance.

Develop and implement effective HSEQ policies and procedures.

Manage and present HSEQ metrics, records, and reports.

Incident Investigation & Learning

Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses.

Share safety alerts and lessons learned to prevent recurrence.

Analyse trends to inform preventative measures.

Specialist HSEQ Support

Advise on fire safety, hazardous substances, and occupational health.

Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce on-site and customer-related risks.

Liaise with external agencies and contractors as needed.

Employee Engagement & Culture

Act as a champion for positive safety culture and inclusivity.

Lead SOS Safety Team meetings and support HSE Champions.

Promote occupational health awareness and monthly HSEQ themes.

Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in a similar HSEQ role, ideally in chemical or engineering sectors.

NEBOSH Certificate (essential); working knowledge of ISO 18001 & 45001.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident producing reports and data analysis.

Skilled in conflict resolution, change management, and risk mitigation.
