Your mission
  1. Develop close working relationships with the operational team, clients, supply chain, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication on Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (H, S & W) matters.
  2. Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the H, S & W management system in line with contractual requirements and ISO 45001.
  3. Liaise with external bodies on H, S & W matters as required.
  4. Actively ensure H, S & W risks are identified and mitigated from design through to construction, emphasizing designing out risks.
  5. Lead on H, S & W strategies and promote a positive organizational culture towards world-class H, S & W performance.
  6. Communicate and promote understanding of H, S & W plans, policies, procedures, and initiatives throughout the supply chain.
  7. Monitor and measure H, S & W performance according to client contractual requirements, including trend analysis.
  8. Promote the company's vision and values in all interactions.
  9. Conduct high-quality inspections and audits, identifying barriers and opportunities for operational improvement.
  10. Ensure timely close-out of inspections and audits.
  11. Lead or participate in accident investigations, ensuring thoroughness and clear evidence-based findings, with actionable remedial steps.
  12. Understand incident investigation models and methodologies.
  13. Attend and contribute to meetings, forums, and workshops.
Who are we looking for?
  • Previous experience as a H, S & W Advisor in UK construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of OHSAS 45001 standard.
  • Valid membership of IOSH.
  • Ability to deliver internal health and safety management courses.
  • Ability to advise on health and safety issues on-site daily.
  • Ability to conduct standard accident investigations on-site.
  • Ability to write site inspection and audit reports.
