Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Folkestone, Kent
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per year + great benefits

Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to step into a role where you can truly make an impact? We're looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Advisor to support our SHEQ Manager in maintaining and driving high standards across safety, health, environment, and quality within our growing business.

In this varied role, you'll conduct site inspections, help lead accident and incident investigations, and play a key part in ensuring compliance with legislation, company standards, and client requirements. You'll also support with quality audits, risk assessments, and the development of engaging SHEQ communication across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out regular workforce site inspections and monitor trends to identify improvements
  • Maintain accurate records and update internal SHEQ systems
  • Support and represent the SHEQ Manager at internal and external meetings
  • Assist with accident/incident investigations and ensure proper reporting
  • Monitor compliance with Legionella standards
  • Support preparation for annual H&S, quality, and environmental audits
  • Deliver toolbox talks, briefings, and written safety communications
  • Review and critique risk assessments and operational documents
  • Ensure the business complies with legal and client safety standards

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the construction industry
  • NEBOSH qualification (essential)
  • Knowledge of Network Rail standards (desirable)
  • Background in the rail sector preferred, but not essential
  • Strong communication and organisation skills
  • Full driving Licence
