Overview

Barnet & Southgate College is seeking an experienced and proactive Health & Safety Advisor to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference across a vibrant and diverse Further Education community.

Responsibilities

As the College’s Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll be the key point of contact for all operational health, safety, and wellbeing matters. You’ll provide expert advice and assurance to staff at all levels, ensuring compliance with legal requirements while promoting a culture of safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.

Working under the strategic direction of the Director of Health & Safety, you’ll help drive the development and delivery of the College’s Health & Safety Management System. From teaching and training to events, and business operations, your work will help ensure best practice across every area of activity.

You will play a central role in establishing, communicating, and monitoring effective standards, processes, training, and systems that embed a strong, proactive health and safety culture across the College. Through your leadership and influence, you’ll foster shared responsibility, continuous improvement, and ensure that all health, safety, and welfare obligations at Barnet & Southgate College are consistently met.
