The services we provide our clients include drafting documentation (Risk Assessments, Health & Safety Policies, Fire Risk Assessments, Event Safety Management Plans), email & phone advice, on-site support, and training.

The Role:

As a Health & Safety Advisor at Safe Elephant, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of all personnel involved in productions. The role involves identifying potential hazards, implementing safety management systems, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and legal regulations. The H&S Advisor works closely with production teams to create a secure environment where creativity and operational efficiency can thrive.

You will contribute to the following areas of the business:

  • Conducting & drafting thorough risk assessments for client projects
  • Developing and implementing health and safety policies and procedures tailored to client needs
  • Providing on-site safety support, audits, inspections
  • Ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation and industry standards
  • Investigating incidents and accidents, providing detailed reports and recommendations for improvement.
  • Helping with various administrative tasks for the business, liaising with clients, and participating in team projects & meetings.

The job is extremely varied, and will require someone that is flexible and can handle last-minute changes. As a hybrid role, your workplace will be regularly changing, however you will need to be London-based. There will be times where you re required to work on sites across the country, and possibly internationally. Most of your admin-time will be home-based.

The Person:

The successful applicant will be highly motivated and interested in the prospect of an ever-changing workload. Whilst some entertainment industry knowledge, experience and qualification would be beneficial, we re open to finding someone with health & safety experience from another field, who we can help come to grips with the industry.

Candidates are required to have the following;

  • Minimum of a Level-3 Safety Qualification (NEBOSH Cert, NVQ 3, etc.)
  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety role.
  • Attention to detail & ability to work with tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills someone who is as comfortable talking to the newest member of the team as they are speaking to a board of directors.
  • Working knowledge of EITHER a technical area of the entertainment industry (Film or Television Production,Technical Theatre, Event Management) would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience conducting Risk Assessments.
  • Having a full driving license is preferred as it will enable flexibility in travel and client visits.

The Package:

  • Salary £28,000 - £32,000 P/A
