A leading company is seeking a Health & Safety Advisor to enhance compliance and foster a proactive safety culture across the organization. The role demands strong knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and the ability to influence behaviors within a team-oriented environment. This professional will conduct inspections, develop training, and implement safety policies to maintain the highest standards of safety and legislation.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, you’ll be a visible presence across the business - supporting teams in production and office settings. You’ll lead inspections, deliver training, and work closely with colleagues at every level to encourage a proactive, prevention-focused approach to safety.

ABOUT YOU
You are a knowledgeable and enthusiastic health and safety professional with experience in manufacturing or industrial environments. You have a thorough understanding of current health and safety legislation and best practices, and you thrive on fostering a positive safety culture that empowers colleagues at all levels.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you are confident in engaging with teams across different functions, influencing behaviours, and promoting compliance. You are proactive and hands-on, comfortable identifying risks and implementing practical solutions. Your attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities make you a trusted advisor in health and safety matters.
You are committed to the ongoing development of health and safety policies and processes, recognising that continual improvement is essential to maintaining the highest standards of safety performance.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Education and qualifications
Relevant health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
Experience
Proven experience in health and safety within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Knowledge
Strong understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practices; experience with risk assessments, incident and accident investigations, and policy development.
Skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; proficient in IT and health and safety management systems; strong organisational and time-management abilities.
Proactive, detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to fostering a positive safety culture and continuous improvement.
Other
Right to work in the UK.
WHAT WE OFFER
Salary: Up to £36 500 D.O.E
Hours of Work: 39 hours per week from Monday to Friday.
