Job description

The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for Health and Safety to join our established HSQE department. Working closely with the Health and Safety manager, you will have the opportunity to develop and advance into a more senior role.

The successful candidate will have attained or be working towards an industry-recognized qualification such as NEBOSH National General Certificate and be able to demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and practical application of Health & Safety regulations and standards. Full support and training will be provided to further develop the successful candidate. They should also have a proactive, safety-first approach to health and safety management, ideally in an industrial or logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with Health and Safety matters, including liaising with national safety, regulatory, and enforcement bodies.
  • Proactively assist with continual improvement.
  • Support the review, development, and implementation of Risk Assessments, Non-Conformances, & Method Statements.
  • Maintain a strong presence around the Port and assist managers/supervisors in implementing H&S procedures and actions.
  • Attend Health and Safety management meetings and help implement existing and new legislation.
  • Investigate and record incidents accurately and correctly.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
