Health and Safety Advisor
Midlands | Up to £55,000 + Car Allowance & Excellent Benefits

Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a well-known Principal Contractor and Developer to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. The company are experts in large development projects and have a proven track record of successful delivery. This is a regional role working on a number of large construction projects, primarily within the Midlands, helping to drive a positive safety culture.

This role would suit a well-qualified, ambitious Health and Safety professional looking to further develop in their career with an established construction organisation.

Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include:

1. Communicating on site and ensuring clear and accurate communication on all health and safety related matters
2. Monitoring the implementation of the health and safety policies and procedures
3. Ensuring the safe delivery of major construction operations
4. Engaging and coaching contractors to help drive a positive safety culture
5. Investigating accidents and near misses and implementing corrective actions to drive performance improvements

The successful Health and Safety Advisor candidate will have:

1. Experience in a similar role ideally from within the construction or infrastructure sectors (high-rise experience desired)
2. A NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
3. A pragmatic approach and the ability to engage and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders
4. Genuine enthusiasm for health and safety and the drive to make a difference
