Job description

MNSP is seeking to appoint an exceptional Headteacher/Principal who can continue the improvement work that has taken place over the two years that the College has been a part of MNSP. Whilst the College is currently graded as 'good' in its most recent inspection, further rapid improvement in some key areas is required before the school's next inspection. This is a rare opportunity for a leader who values high standards in behaviour and conduct of pupils, to combine strategic ambition with operational excellence, ensuring that every pupil can thrive academically and socially. In this role you will have responsibility for the leadership and management of the school, fostering a culture of high expectations and continuous improvement. You will work collaboratively with the Trust, Local Governing Body, staff, parents and the wider community to secure outstanding outcomes for all pupils and strengthen the school's reputation as a centre of excellence.,

  • Managing change through periods of transition (Please note - following consultation within the local community, Somerset Local Authority and Multi-Academy Trusts in the town are currently considering a proposal to move from a three to two-tier education structure in Frome. This would result in Frome College becoming a Secondary school for up to 1500 pupils aged 11 - 16 and a sixth form of up to 400, from September 2028.)

  • Has sound financial and organisational acumen
