We are seeking to appoint a dynamic leader with vision and a passion for learning who will, along with a management team, lead learning at Rephad Primary School which includes a Nursery setting and from August 2025 a new Learning Centre. The position offers an exciting opportunity to shape educational provision and is supported by a Depute Headteacher, Learning Centre Principal Teacher and a Nursery Manager.

Rephad Primary is situated in the picturesque market town of Stranraer in the west of Dumfries and Galloway overlooking Loch Ryan and the Ailsa Craig to the north. The school has an excellent reputation within the local community and has a very welcoming ethos with supportive parents, a friendly staff team and enthusiastic young people.

We are seeking to appoint a leader who is ready for an exciting challenge in leading a vibrant school community. You will have a vision and a passion for improving outcomes for all and to best meet the needs of every individual child. As Headteacher, you will lead the improvement agenda and drive the school’s development priorities along with a professional staff team.
