Job summary

Honley Junior, Infant and Nursery School, part of Trinity MAT, invites an exceptional Headteacher to guide the school through its transition into the Trust. You will shape strategic direction, maintain the Christian ethos and raise educational outcomes across two sites including wraparound care.

Working with governors, you will build on strengths, lead staff, engage families, and ensure a smooth integration with the Trust, supported by Local Authority, Diocese and Trust throughout the journey.

At Honley Junior, Infant and Nursery School, our school vision “Love for Learning and Learning for Life. Life in all its fullness” (John 10:10) is at the heart of everything we do. In January 2026 we announced our intention to become part of Trinity Multi Academy Trust. Trinity is a highly respected and growing family of 11 academies, spanning primary through to post-16 education, with a proven track record of transforming outcomes and making lasting differences to the lives of children and young people.

This is an exciting time to join Honley. Our school operates across two sites and includes a Daycare and Out of School Club, providing high-quality wraparound care for children from the age of two. As we begin this new chapter, we are seeking an exceptional leader to guide our school into its future.

Governors are looking to appoint an inspiring, ambitious and highly skilled Headteacher to lead our happy, hardworking and dedicated school community. Working closely with governors, the successful candidate will shape the school’s strategic direction, build on our many strengths and lead the transition into Trinity Multi Academy Trust with confidence and vision.
