Job Title: School Leader at Hidelow Grange School

Salary: Up to £52,750 depending on experience

Reporting to the Regional Lead, we are seeking an experienced and successful school leader to build on our success, embed good practices, and advance the school. The ideal candidate may already be a Headteacher or an experienced senior leader seeking their first headship.

Hidelow Grange School is a small Independent Special School located in Acton Beauchamp, Worcester. We provide specialist education to boys aged 11 to 18 years with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Our educational approach mirrors mainstream provision and is tailored to meet individual learning needs, fostering knowledge, skills, and understanding to help our learners become happy and productive members of society.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and develop the school in accordance with its mission and strategic goals.
  • Ensure compliance with Independent School Standards Regulations and Ofsted Inspection Framework.
  • Support safeguarding practices; experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead is essential.
  • Support children and young people with complex SEMH needs.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency teams to support Looked After Children and achieve EHCP outcomes.
  • Drive school improvement and ensure every pupil makes outstanding progress.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Professional teaching qualification such as a degree, PGCE, or BEd; Masters qualification or NPQH is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and regulatory standards.
  • Extensive leadership experience.
  • Experience supporting children and young people with SEMH needs.
  • Experience working with multi-agency teams for vulnerable children.
  • Enthusiasm, determination, and a positive attitude to develop the school and support student progress.
