Are you ready to take your leadership career to the next level and make a difference where it matters most? At Belmont Primary and Secondary Schools, we're looking for an exceptional Headteacher with the vision, drive and determination to lead two specialist provisions and create life-changing opportunities for young people. This is more than a traditional Headteacher role. It's an opportunity to shape the future of two schools, inspire talented teams and transform educational experiences for students who need a different approach to learning. Supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, alongside additional learning and communication difficulties, our schools believe in Thinking and Learning Differently. We recognise that every student has their own strengths, challenges and aspirations, and we're committed to helping them achieve more than they ever thought possible. As Headteacher, you'll provide strategic and operational leadership across both our Primary and Secondary schools, driving high standards, championing innovative teaching and ensuring students receive the personalised education and support they deserve. Working alongside the Senior Leadership Teams and Regional Director, you'll have the opportunity to influence school development, empower colleagues and create a positive, ambitious culture where students and staff can thrive.
Every improvement you drive, every colleague you inspire and every opportunity you create will help students build confidence, develop independence and prepare for a more positive future. You'll have the opportunity to make a lasting impact across two specialist schools, supported by the wider expertise and resources of Outcomes First Group. If you're an experienced Headteacher looking for a new challenge, or an ambitious Deputy Headteacher ready to step into whole-school leadership, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for.
Belmont School is an independent specialist school providing education for boys aged 5-18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated complex behaviours. The school operates as one community across two phases: a Primary Phase in Rossendale for students aged 5-11 and a Secondary Phase in Rawtenstall for students aged 11-18.
At Belmont, we provide a safe, nurturing and trauma-informed environment where every student is understood, supported and encouraged to succeed. Through small classes, personalised learning pathways and therapeutic support, we help students overcome barriers to learning, develop confidence and resilience, and take pride in their achievements. Our broad and ambitious curriculum provides opportunities for academic, vocational and creative development, alongside a strong focus on social development, independence and essential life skills. We work hard to nurture aspiration and equip our students with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to make a positive contribution to society and achieve a successful future. With provision across both the Primary and Secondary phases, Belmont offers a genuinely joined-up educational journey, supporting students from their earliest years through to adulthood. The school is easily commutable from Rawtenstall, Bury, Burnley and the surrounding areas. At Outcomes First Schools, we provide specialist education for learners who need a deeper level of understanding, expertise and support than mainstream education can typically offer. We support students with a wide range of complex, co-occurring and neurodivergent needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech and communication needs, dyslexia and experiences of trauma or adversity. We are proud to be a part of OFG Education who in 2025 were officially certified as a 'Great Place to Work' for the sixth year running.
We place students and vulnerable young adults at the heart of everything we do, so every day brings the satisfaction of making a real difference. We are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and young people. All applicants will be subject to social media checks and successful applicants to a fully enhanced DBS.
