Education Experts is on the lookout for an experienced Headteacher for an alternative provision school in Bexhill-on-Sea. This permanent senior leadership role requires a SEND specialist ready to support pupils with SEMH needs, starting in September 2025. With an emphasis on creating a nurturing environment for up to 18 children, this is an opportunity to shape the ethos of a newly established facility.

Job description

Are you an education expert? We are currently seeking to represent an experienced Headteacher for a permanent senior leadership job based in an alternative provision school in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, (TN39 4HS). If you are a SEND specialist who is available from September 2025 (or sooner) we would be keen to speak with you.

If you are an experienced Headteacher or an experienced Deputy Headteacher seeking a headship who has worked with pupils with SEMH needs in a specialist setting across either primary or secondary phases this role may be for you. We are currently supporting a newly established alternative provision group who are opening a brand-new site based in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, (TN39 4HS). This role is offered on a permanent basis. The site is currently awaiting Ofsted and has the capacity for up to 18 children. An informal meeting via Teams will be offered as a starting point for you to gain a full understanding of the school and ethos of the group. This would then be followed with a tour of the site and a meeting with either the group Director or Head of People.

In order to be successfully shortlisted in any of your applications with us we will require the following:

A relevant UK based teaching and/or leadership qualification.
Substantial experience working with pupils with SEND within an education setting.
All required documents for safer recruitment processing including, but not limited to a valid right to work proof and a valid Enhanced DBS.
Exceptional references.

Proposed start date: September 2025
Annual Salary: £60,000 to £63,000
