Job summary

St Charles' Catholic Academy in Liverpool is seeking an inspirational Catholic school leader to guide its next phase of development. The role focuses on securing whole-school improvement, raising standards and promoting inclusive practices within a Catholic ethos.

The successful candidate will lead teaching and learning, develop high-performing teams and work with the Local Governing Body and Trust to deliver strategic plans and sustained success for pupils and families in Liverpool.

Qualifications

  • A practising Catholic with clear commitment to Catholic ethos and values.
  • Proven track record of securing whole-school improvement and raising standards.
  • Significant leadership experience in primary school settings.
  • Strong understanding of Catholic School Inspection (CSI) and Ofsted frameworks, with the ability to lead improvement through self-evaluation and strategic planning.
  • Commitment to ensuring every child achieves their full potential through inclusive practice.
  • Experience developing high-performing teams and fostering collaboration, accountability and growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build relationships with pupils, parents, staff, governors, parish communities and external partners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.
