For an ambitious, motivated, and dedicated leader, the headship of this successful school in the Borough of Redbridge offers a sound foundation for impact, where commitment and our Catholic ethos underpin ongoing improvement. As our current Head retires after a distinguished career, the Governors look forward to working with a new Head on the next stage of the school’s development.
Trinity Catholic High School is a mixed, voluntary aided Catholic school in the Diocese of Brentwood, located in Woodford. The school provides a calm, purposeful learning environment, with high student attendance and a community that lives the gospel values. It is oversubscribed and faces challenges such as operating on a split site, maintaining a balanced budget, and aspirations for extended facilities. We are committed to enhancing teaching & learning and pursuing innovation to meet curriculum demands.
Our recently refreshed Governing Body is eager to support pioneering leadership. We seek a practising Catholic Head who will appreciate and uphold our ethos and demonstrate model leadership based on Christian values. The role offers an excellent platform for someone seeking a personal challenge to drive improvement, refine management, improve teaching & learning, and develop our sixth-form provision for years 12 and 13. We value a leader who believes in developing students’ potential beyond the classroom.
Applicants with extensive Catholic school experience are encouraged to apply, including current Heads or Deputies with strong leadership skills and ambition. Experience with split-phase or vertical school structures is advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have a strong visible presence, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to identify solutions and provide focused direction while fostering a genuine sense of community. Effective and inclusive communication skills are essential, as is the ability to motivate and lead a team. The successful candidate will work with the Governing Body to establish a shared vision and will receive full support to realize it.
