St Scholastica's Catholic Primary School in Greater London is seeking a Headteacher who will work with the Governing Body to shape the strategic direction of the school and lead its day-to-day management.

The successful candidate will nurture the Catholic life of the school, put children at the heart of decision-making, champion an ambitious curriculum, and oversee safeguarding, inclusion and staff development, while also serving as SENCo for the 2026/27 year.

Aboutthe role

Ournew Headteacher will work with the Governing Body to shape the strategicdirection of the school and will be responsible for its day-to-day leadershipand management. They will lead a committed staff team that works together inthe best interests of every child and will be well supported by governors,staff, families, the parish, the Archdiocese of Westminster, Hackney Educationand the wider school community. The successful candidate will also undertakethe role of SENCo for the remainder of the 2026/27 academic year.

  • havea secure and thorough understanding of safeguarding and create a culturein which children feel safe, known and listened to;
  • developand empower staff through coaching, professional development anddistributed leadership;
  • valuethe wellbeing and professional growth of all members of the schoolcommunity;
  • buildstrong, respectful relationships with children, staff, parents, governors,the parish and the wider community;
  • demonstratesound strategic, organisational and financial leadership;
  • lead with integrity, compassion, resilienceand a strong sense of service.
