As a Headteacher, you will promote a relentless focus on high-quality, creative learning, delivering our pupils' educational needs, maximising pupil achievement, and supporting their development.

As Headteacher, you will have support from central services for Finance, Resourcing, HR, and IT, including a network of supportive Headteachers from other schools and central school improvement support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieving outstanding outcomes for pupils and young people, tailored to their needs, abilities, and aptitudes.
  • Providing a safe environment that safeguards the welfare of pupils, young people, and staff.
  • Meeting all statutory requirements set by the DfE, Ofsted, and other external bodies, aiming for the highest inspection ratings.
  • Leading a motivated staff committed to excellence and ongoing professional development.
  • Ensuring the commercial success of the school through occupancy, cost management, and growth plans.
  • Effective strategic and operational planning, including self-evaluation, school improvement, and delivery.
  • Creating a shared vision aligned with the Options Autism strategy that inspires students, staff, and the community.
  • Having at least three years’ experience as a senior leader in mainstream or special educational needs schools.
  • Possessing Qualified Teacher Status or equivalent.
  • Willingness to pursue personal and professional development.
  • Leading with a clear vision and ability to inspire others.
  • Understanding that leadership encompasses pupil outcomes, staff motivation, safety, enrollment, cost management, regulatory compliance, and growth.
