Job summary

The Ivy Collection is seeking a Head Waiter to lead a service section and deliver exceptional guest experiences in our Harrogate restaurant. You will manage and support a team of wait staff, ensuring professional and timely service while maintaining quality standards.

Qualifications

• At least 1+ years’ experience in head waiter or similar role.
• Strong customer service and team leadership skills.
• Professional service mindset and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Control a section during service and take food orders.
• Serve guests with a professional bill service.
• Direct and motivate a team of commis waiters.
• Monitor welfare, safety and development of the team.
• Ensure high standards of service throughout shifts.

Key elements of your role as Head Waiter will involve controlling a section during service, taking food orders, serving guests and providing a professional bill service. Responsible for directing and motivating a team of Commis Waiters, you will also take an active interest in your team’s welfare, safety, and professional development.

You have at least 1+ years’ experience in this role and are solution-driven, working well under pressure. You pride yourself on your professional approach to service excellence and you are a real team player.
