Join our vibrant team as a Head Waiter in beautiful Edinburgh!

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take charge in a summer role coordinating weddings for our clients. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional service and leading a team, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Bring your experience and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. The role involves set dates from May to October, during which we would need you to be available.

Responsibilities in your new role as Head Waiter

As the Head Waiter, you will supervise all waiting staff, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities. You'll assign sections or tables to individual servers and manage break schedules. Acting as the main point of contact between kitchen staff and servers, you’ll ensure that tables are perfectly set with appropriate place settings, decorations, and seating arrangements. You'll run pre-service briefings to communicate event schedules, special requests, and menu details, while checking that all equipment, linens, and service stations are clean and orderly. Your leadership will ensure smooth and timely service of food and beverages, handling guest inquiries and dietary needs professionally and efficiently to uphold a high level of guest satisfaction.

Your personality, experience, and qualifications

To excel in this role, you should have a strong background in supervisory or leadership positions within the hospitality sector. You will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with both front and back-of-house teams. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards of service will ensure you thrive in our dynamic environment.
