We are seeking a confident and forward-thinking Head Veterinary Surgeon to join our rapidly growing practice in Scunthorpe.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a growing business by implementing your ideas to further expand our practice. You will be a vital part of a small, friendly team comprising 1 Vet (studying for a certificate in advanced surgery), 3 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 VCA, 2 Client Care Advisors, and a Practice Manager, all committed to excellence in client care.
Our caseload offers the variety expected of an established general practice, allowing you to utilize and develop your skills. We support your career growth with a generous CPD allowance, encouragement, and full funding for certifications.
In addition to a salary of up to £85,000 and a £5,000 relocation/welcome bonus, we offer benefits such as pension, healthcare, paid memberships, career progression opportunities, and exclusive discounts (up to 30% at Pets at Home). This role offers flexible hours, full or part-time options, with Saturdays on a fair rota, and no on-call, out-of-hours, or Sundays. You should be confident in routine surgical and medical cases and comfortable with sole charge. An interest in surgery is beneficial but not essential.
Our practice is equipped with the latest technology and is located inside Pets at Home on Lakeside Retail Park. Easily accessible via bus and train links.
Scunthorpe is a vibrant town known for its steel industry, arts scene, and nearby outdoor attractions like Normanby Hall Country Park and the seaside town of Cleethorpes.
