Job summary

IVC Evidensia is seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to lead nursing teams across Crieff and neighbouring sites. This full-time role focuses on maintaining high clinical standards, governance and professional practice while supporting growth and wellbeing of the nursing team.

You will oversee rotas, mentor staff and collaborate with veterinary surgeons to drive consistency in client care. The position offers a senior leadership path within a supportive, community-focused vet group.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Significant experience in clinical practice with advanced medical and surgical nursing skills.
• Proven experience of leading, mentoring and developing nursing teams.
• Strong understanding of clinical governance, quality improvement and professional standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support nursing teams across multiple practice sites.
• Maintain high clinical and patient care standards across all branches.
• Oversee nurse rotas, staffing levels and day-to-day workflow.
• Drive consistency in nursing procedures and client care across sites.
• Encourage the development of nurse-led clinics and services.
• Work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and leadership teams to support practice growth and team wellbeing.
