Job Description
Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse ready to take the next step in your career? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Head RVN to join a warm and supportive team in a well-established veterinary practice set in the beautiful countryside of Dorset. This role offers the chance to lead a dedicated nursing team while continuing to provide exceptional clinical care.
As the Head RVN, you will play a central role in the day-to-day operations of the practice, providing clinical leadership and mentoring your team to deliver outstanding patient and client care. You will take the lead on nurse consultations and Schedule 3 procedures, support surgical and inpatient care, and oversee admissions and discharges. You will be a key part of driving professional excellence within the practice, ensuring regulatory and clinical standards are upheld while promoting a collaborative and progressive working culture.
You should be an RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse with proven experience in both clinical care and team leadership. Strong communication skills and a passion for mentoring and developing others are essential. You’ll be comfortable taking initiative, leading by example, and using your coaching and influencing skills to bring out the best in your team. Experience implementing nurse clinics or consultations to support practice growth is highly desirable.
This is a fantastic opportunity to thrive in a role that combines leadership, clinical practice, and personal development in a supportive, forward-thinking environment. If you’re ready to embrace a new challenge and make a meaningful difference in a close-knit team, we’d love to hear from you.
