We’re looking for a passionate and experienced RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse to join us as a Head RVN at our thriving Medivet Evegate practice - a truly unique clinic that combines the variety of first-opinion small animal work with the excitement of caring for a broad range of exotic species.

As a key leader within the team, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations. We’re looking for someone who is , experienced in small animal practice as well as with some extoics expereinces as this is essential, and confident in leading a team. You’ll be proactive, organised, and passionate about high standards of care, with strong communication and teamwork skills. If you have experience with exotics, or a keen interest in developing it,this is the perfect environment to build on that knowledge, though exotic experience is desirable, not essential.

Role Accountabilities

In this role you will:

• Provide clinical leadership to the nursing team.
  
• Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  
• Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  
• Lead, manage and promote nurse led appointments and Schedule 3 surgeries.
  
• Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  
• Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  
• Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  
• Dispense and check medication.
  
• Deliver professional excellence, implementing and complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  
• Inspire your team, sharing new or evolving practice standards and changes to processes.
  
• Engage, coach and develop your team.
  
• Pro-actively support and share clinical best practice across practices and the wider Medivet community.
  

Your Skills and Experience

• RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  
• Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  
• Able to confidently lead a clinical team.
  
• Experience of implementing a progressive clinical culture through nurse clinics and nurse consultations.
  
• Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
