Kinloss Primary School is looking for a Head Teacher to lead their learning community, supporting all children to thrive and succeed… Kinloss Primary School is located in the picturesque and historic village of Kinloss, close to the beaches of Findhorn and Roseisle and the ruins of Kinloss Abbey. Kinloss has been home to the RAF from 1939 until 2012, when 39 Engineer Regiment took over and it became Kinloss Barracks, as part of the Army. Kinloss Primary serves the towns of Kinloss and Findhorn. It also serves the Army Barracks at Kinloss, where the 39 Engineers Regiment are based and where the largest group of the school population is housed. There are over 39 different languages spoken at 39 Engineers Regiment and this is reflected in the school’s diverse and multi-cultural community.

Requirements

To provide professional leadership and management of the school ensuring the safety of all pupils and conducting the affairs of the school to the benefit of the pupils and the community it serves through pursuing objectives and implementing policies set by the education authority under the overall direction of the Head of Education (Chief Education Officer).

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. Therefore the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council.
