The role:

As a Senior Sous Chef, you’ll be an inspirational leader, creating a positive environment for your team and guests. You will support in coaching and developing your team to be the best they can be, whilst driving restaurant performance and delivering excellent results.

What you do:

  • Focus on creating a positive environment where your team feel cared for and listened to, celebrating successes. Prioritize nurturing and developing talent within your team, role-modelling a coaching culture within the management team.
  • Ensure an excellent guest experience, with every dish prepared to exceptional standards, either through your efforts or by equipping your team with the necessary skills and mindset.
  • Maintain high standards of food, health, and safety, and understand the financial performance of a kitchen, including gross profit, stock control, and labor costs.
  • Build a coaching culture within your team, working with your Head Chef to recruit and develop talent, fostering personal and professional growth.
  • Be a forward-thinking problem solver, able to make quick decisions and think on your feet.

What we look for:

  • Experience leading a kitchen team as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef, driving performance in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, with a caring approach that ensures your team feels supported.
  • Proven experience maintaining high standards of food, health, and safety.
  • Understanding of kitchen financials, including GP and stock control.
  • Ability to manage labor costs and adapt to changing demands.
  • Leadership qualities that inspire and engage your team.
  • Passion for creating an inclusive environment where everyone feels respected and belongs.
  • A proactive problem solver, capable of quick thinking.
