The Role

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dynamic Head Sommelier to lead and curate the wine program at this prestigious estate. You will have the opportunity to work alongside a world-class team, overseeing an exceptional wine collection and delivering a flawless service to our discerning clientele.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curate and manage an exclusive wine list, tailored to complement a Michelin-quality menu.
2. Provide expert advice and recommendations to guests, enhancing their dining experience with your knowledge and passion for fine wines.
3. Lead and train the sommelier team, ensuring consistent and exceptional service standards.
4. Work closely with the Executive Chef to pair wines with seasonal menus, bringing innovative ideas to life.
5. Continuously expand and refine the estate’s wine cellar, sourcing rare and prestigious wines from the finest vineyards across the world.
6. Deliver memorable wine tasting events and experiences for our VIP guests.

Requirements

1. Proven experience as a Sommelier within a luxury, Michelin-starred or high-end hospitality environment.
2. Extensive knowledge of fine wines, wine pairings, and cellar management.
3. A passion for delivering extraordinary guest experiences with impeccable attention to detail.
4. Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor, and train a team of sommeliers.
5. Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
6. Willingness to relocate to the estate in the South West of England (accommodation provided).
