Job description

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join us as a Veterinary Head Receptionist atBeechwood Veterinary Practice.

Location: To be based mainly at Beechwood Kidsgrove Clinic

Contract: Maternity Cover

Hours: 38-40hours per week

About the role:

Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the Receptionist team, including training and providing support and guidance
  • Supporting with Recruitment and liaising with the internal recruitment team
  • Financial responsibilities such as till reconciliation and debt reconciliation.

Additional Day-to-day duties of the role will include:

  • Answering phones and booking appointments
  • Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
  • Registering new clients
  • Completing insurance forms
  • Dispensing medications
  • Taking payments
  • And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice

What we're looking for in our Veterinary Head Receptionist:

  • Leadership skills would be highly desirable
  • Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
  • An excellent communicator with strong empathy
  • Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
  • A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
