Our Story

Manchester City is an English Premier League club whose roots began in East Manchester. From its first incarnation as St Mark’s West Gorton in 1880, the club became Manchester City FC in 1894. Behind each title lies emotion, moments and memories that resonate with millions of supporters around the world. Manchester City fans are known for their commitment and togetherness, as a Club that fights to the end.

Purpose

This role will be a fixed-term contract for 12 months. Roles at this level provide operational technical support/services across our corporate footprint, delivering project or operational outputs across CFG or a constituent club. The role operates across all our operations – stadium, facilities, supporter services, 1st team support – to deliver outstanding service to internal and external stakeholders.

This is Your City

As part of our team, you will be entitled to 26 days annual leave plus an additional day off for your birthday, private healthcare, a Simplyhealth cash plan, an annual discretionary bonus, and a range of partnership and lifestyle discounts.

Your Impact

  1. Provision of first-line operational support services to the business as required. Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of discrete operational services; managing workflow, logistics, and monitoring activity completion to time and quality expectations.
  2. Management of own activities, and/or those of others as a first-line supervisor/operational project lead. Daily to weekly time horizons.
  3. Apply technical specialism, corporate knowledge, and experience to develop and influence project/wider operational decision-making.
  4. Proactively review own work outputs and those of relevant teams; developing known systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of service.
  5. Reasoned application of operational methods, processes, and procedures from within their specific area of specialism.
  6. End-point delivery of key operational services within a wider operational service team. Broad adherence to process, procedure, and precedent, with flexibility to adapt as needed. Managerial direction is readily available.
  7. Provision of first-line operational outputs, delivered locally but with a wider impact within a global operational service area.

Please note: This is a fixed-term opportunity requiring 37.5 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and matchdays. Working hours include coverage from 7:30 am to 9:30 pm, with a finish time of 11 pm on matchdays.
