Kudu is the flagship restaurant of our collective, established in 2017 by Amy Corbin and Patrick Williams. Recognized with a Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2019, we pride ourselves on friendly, intimate service and attention to quality. Kudu Grill followed in 2021, continuing our focus on cooking over open fire.

We are relocating to Marylebone in Autumn 2025 and are seeking a Head Receptionist to join our team in August. Candidates must have the right to work. Please apply by attaching your most recent CV.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Head Receptionist to oversee daily reception operations, ensure exceptional service, and support the Reception Manager. The role requires strong leadership and a passion for service in a restaurant or hotel setting.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations to deliver excellent guest and team experiences; lead, coach, and develop staff; adhere to budget guidelines.
  • Ensure knowledge of restaurant operations and customer service excellence; work within operating hours, including weekends and holidays; contribute to reducing operational costs and enhancing employee retention.
  • Schedule shifts; handle customer complaints and queries promptly and courteously; in the absence of the Reception Manager, lead the outlet, plan, and maintain high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee dining operations with attention to quality and detail.
  • Resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Lead, train, and develop the team.
  • Manage staffing within budget, including payroll scheduling.
  • Drive sales to meet revenue targets.
  • Motivate team members to maximize sales and revenue.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and pursue continuous improvement.
  • Conduct communication meetings and record minutes.
  • Participate in daily/weekly team meetings.
  • Lead service in the General Manager’s absence.

Requirements
