Yard Sale Pizza is seeking an experienced Head Pizza Chef to lead and mentor a busy kitchen team in London. You will oversee all kitchen operations on site, ensure top pizza quality, and drive efficient service with a positive working environment.

The role requires masterclass pizza-making skills, especially Neapolitan-style dough, and proven leadership. Competitive hourly rates, full-time hours (around 40/week), and strong progression prospects are offered.

Qualifications

• Masterclass pizza-making skills with Neapolitan-style dough and stone oven.
• Experience leading and developing a collaborative kitchen team.
• Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene in a commercial kitchen.
• Ability to manage rotas and control costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of chefs in a busy environment.
• Run all areas of the kitchen on site reporting to the Kitchen Operations Manager and General Manager.
• Ensure smooth kitchen operations and a positive working environment.
• Oversee pizza quality, kitchen speed and service.
• Train and maintain a competent chef team with regular appraisals.
• Hit GP and portioning targets.
• Manage team rotas in line with budgeted staff costs.
• Stock ordering and rotation.
