Barnsley Football Club's Academy Education team seeks a Head of Academy Education to lead the education programme for Under 18s and SEP apprentices, ensuring high-quality learning within a holistic, player-centered approach.

You will work closely with the Academy Manager to implement educational strategies, monitor progress across BTEC and Functional Skills, and uphold safeguarding standards across the academy environment.

Competenze

• Teaching qualification and experience delivering education for young players.
• Knowledge of Ofsted inspections and safeguarding requirements.
• Experience in Secondary or Further Education settings.
• Understanding diverse learning needs of athletes and young people.
• Relevant safeguarding qualifications and DBS compliance.

Mansioni

• Lead the delivery of full-time education provision for academy players.
• Develop and review the education philosophy and strategy.
• Oversee BTEC provision and liaise with tutors to ensure progress.
• Coordinate SEP apprenticeships and track educational progress.
• Ensure education meets PGAAC Education Standards and EFL rules.
• Attend education sessions and promote safeguarding and wellbeing.
• Collaborate with schools, parents, LEAs and education providers.
• Monitor annual reviews, progress reporting and recordings.
