Job summary

Hodge Hill Girls School is seeking an inspirational Head of Year to lead our pastoral team and support the academic, personal and emotional development of girls. The role focuses on welfare, attendance and behaviour for the year group, with a collaborative approach involving parents, carers and staff.

The successful candidate will work within term-time hours, on a 36.50 hours/week schedule, on a one-year fixed-term contract.

Qualifications

• Experience in pastoral or student-support roles within a secondary school.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and carers.
• Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral leadership for the year group and oversee welfare, attendance, behaviour and personal development.
• Collaborate with students, parents, teachers and the pastoral team to foster a positive environment.
• Use data to identify students needing additional support or intervention.
