Job description

The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and well-qualified non-teaching Head of Year to join our thriving, oversubscribed school.

Dates: Apply by 12 noon on Monday 2nd December 2024

Location: Sefton, Merseyside

Contract Term: Permanent

The Head of Year is responsible for safeguarding and attendance, promoting the welfare of our children and their families by delivering high quality interventions. The postholder will act as the point of contact for their relevant year group, offering support focusing on outcomes.

You will work within an agreed framework, as a source of support, advice and expertise within the school. You will look after the wellbeing of students within the year group, whilst monitoring and promoting the importance of good attendance.

The work involves collaboration with parents, external agencies, partners and colleagues, and representing the school at a wide range of professionals meetings, core groups and reviews.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a school setting, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to contribute positively to student learning. This is an exciting opportunity for a positive, enthusiastic and committed individual.
