This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong pastoral skills to make a significant impact on the well-being, behaviour, and academic progress of students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the pastoral care of a designated year group, providing support and guidance to students, staff, and parents.
  • Monitor the academic progress and well-being of students, working closely with teaching staff and senior leadership to ensure interventions are in place for students who require additional support.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring students are motivated and engaged in their education.
  • Be the key point of contact for parents and guardians, building strong relationships to support student development.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of behaviour and attendance, ensuring students meet the school's expectations.
  • Organise and lead year group events, including assemblies, trips, and other extracurricular activities.
  • Contribute to the wider school community and work collaboratively with staff across the school to enhance the overall student experience.
About You
  • You will be a qualified teacher with strong experience in a pastoral role, ideally with experience of leading a year group.
  • You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong, positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and organised individual with a strong understanding of student welfare and pastoral care.
  • Able to inspire, motivate, and support students to reach their full potential.
