Job summary

Lightcliffe Academy is seeking a Head of Year to lead a year group, support student achievement and work as part of a committed pastoral team within a Christian ethos. The post is permanent and term-time, with a 37-hour week and responsibilities across 39 weeks per year.

The successful candidate will inspire students, build positive relationships with families and colleagues, and contribute to school improvement within the Anglican Diocese of Leeds trust.

Qualifications

• Experience in school leadership or senior pastoral role.
• Ability to inspire and guide students to achieve their potential.
• Strong communication skills with students, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Year group to monitor and support student progression.
• Promote positive behaviour and safeguarding within the year group.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and contribute to the Trust's ethos.

Nature of Contract: Permanent, term time only, 38 weeks per year plus 5 days (39 weeks)

FTE Salary: GRADE SO1, scp 23 - 25, £35,570 to £37,563 per annum, pro rata

Actual Salary: £30,730 - £32,452, based on 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Working Hours: 37 per week
