Job summary

Holyhead School is seeking a dedicated pastoral support worker to provide high-quality support to students within a year group, helping them engage fully with their learning and activities.

The role focuses on building strong relationships with students, parents and staff, promoting punctuality, attendance and safeguarding, and supporting positive behaviour in line with the school’s vision and values.

Qualifications

• Pastoral support experience or willingness to develop in a school setting.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families and staff.
• Understanding of safeguarding and child-centred approaches is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Establish positive relationships with students, parents/carers, staff and external agencies.
• Provide high-quality pastoral support to students in the year group.
• Support punctuality and attendance, promoting consistent attendance.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour by identifying barriers to learning and working with colleagues to address them.
