CK Group are currently recruiting for a Head of Workplace, Environment and Sustainability to join a global diagnostics organisation, based in Burgess Hill on a permanent basis.

In this position, the successful candidate will shape the future of our clients' facilities, ensuring optimal safety, sustainability, and operational excellence by leading on key business areas including facilities, sustainability, SHE, business continuity, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the strategy for Workplace, Environment and Sustainability in alignment with local and global ambitions
  • Oversee the risk management framework, including business continuity and local emergency plans
  • Maintain ISO registrations, such as Environment (14001), Health and Safety (45001), and Business Continuity (22301)
  • Plan and control repairs and maintenance to ensure high availability of site infrastructure.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security measures related to physical, personnel, and information security.

Candidate Background:

  • A Proven track record of leading large projects in facilities and SHE, managing budgets, and driving innovation.
  • A strong understanding of diagnostics landscapes and experience in environmental, chemical, and product legislation, especially regarding the interaction between EU directives and UK law.
  • A solid grasp of the technical aspects of facilities management, including building systems, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
  • A NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management or Health and Safety is highly preferred.
