You will lead, mentor and recruit, drive strategy and client relationships, and position the team for a real equity opportunity in the coming years.

Are you an experienced Private Client lawyer who has reached the stage where another fee-earning role just isn't enough?

Perhaps you're already a Head of Department but wondering where the progression goes from here?

Or maybe you're a Senior Associate / experienced Solicitor or Legal Executive doing everything expected of someone at that level – but without the title, autonomy or long-term opportunity?

CRA Consulting are working confidentially with an established Doncaster law firm looking to make a key senior appointment to its Private Client team.

And importantly, they're not just looking for somebody to inherit a title.

They want someone who can take real ownership of the department and help shape what it becomes over the next few years.

You'll have the opportunity to:

• Manage, mentor and develop the team
• Influence recruitment and future growth
• Shape the department's strategy and direction
• Develop client and professional relationships
• Handle quality Private Client work including Wills, Probate, Trusts, LPAs, Tax & Estate Planning
• Work closely with the firm's senior management
• Have a genuine voice in the wider business
• Build towards long-term equity

And here's an important point…

You don't necessarily need to be a Head of Department already.

If you're an experienced Private Client lawyer who feels ready to step up, lead people and build something, I'd still be very interested in speaking with you.

Likewise, a following would be welcomed, but it isn't the whole story.

The firm is equally interested in leadership, technical ability, commercial awareness and ambition.

For me, the attraction is simple:

£50k–£75k is the salary. Head of Department is the title. But the real opportunity is what this role could become.

Senior Private Client positions offering genuine autonomy and a realistic longer-term route towards equity don't appear every day in the South Yorkshire market.
