CRA Consulting are partnering with an established Doncaster law firm to appoint a Head of Private Client. You will lead and develop the Private Client department, manage a high-calibre team, and play a significant role in shaping future strategy and equity prospects for the practice.

Role: Head of Private Client
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 DOE
Contract: Full-time, Permanent

CRA Consulting are working with an established law firm in Doncaster on a key senior appointment within their Private Client team.
This isn't simply a vacancy for an experienced Private Client Solicitor looking for their next fee-earning role. The firm is looking for someone who wants to take ownership of a department, lead from the front and play a significant part in its future growth.

The Role
As Head of Private Client, you will have overall responsibility for the performance and continued development of the department.
Alongside managing your own high-quality caseload, you will provide leadership and technical support to the wider team and work closely with the firm's senior management on the department's future strategy.
Your work is likely to include:

• Wills and complex estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Trusts
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Court of Protection matters
• Tax and succession planning
• High-net-worth and more complex Private Client matters

Importantly, the firm isn't looking for somebody who simply wants the title of Head of Department. They want someone who is keen to lead, develop people, drive performance and build the department over the longer term.
What we're looking for
We would be particularly interested in speaking with experienced Private Client Solicitors, Legal Executives and existing Heads of Department who can demonstrate strong technical Private Client experience.
You may already be heading up a team, or you could be a Senior Associate or experienced Solicitor who feels ready to make that next step into departmental leadership.
Ideally, you will bring:

• Strong technical Private Client experience
• The confidence to lead and support a team
• Commercial awareness and an interest in growing a department
• Excellent client relationship skills
• An ability to develop relationships with introducers and professional contacts
• A desire to have greater influence over the direction of both a department and the wider firm

A following would certainly be welcomed, but this opportunity is about much more than simply bringing a book of business. Leadership ability, ambition and the desire to build something for the long term are equally important.
