Position: Head of Underwriting Governance

Eames is partnering with a global insurer to appoint a Head of Underwriting Governance. This role will be at the Group level and is crucial in supporting the Underwriting Portfolio Director and the wider team by shaping and overseeing the group’s underwriting portfolio.

Responsibilities:

1. Shape the insurer's underwriting portfolio by implementing a versatile and expandable underwriting governance framework.
2. Assess and monitor underwriting and outward reinsurance analyses, with a focus on improving and automating these processes where possible.
3. Ensure compliance with underwriting principles and governance frameworks, including outsourced arrangements with coverholders, maintaining best-in-class governance standards.
4. Manage junior team members over time, overseeing underwriting activities and governance responsibilities.
