Job Description:

INEO NUCLEAR UK, a company of EQUANS (BOUYGUES group), is looking for a Head of UK Design Authority and CDM.

What is your working environment?

Ineo Nuclear UK, a subsidiary of Ineo Nucléaire, manages nuclear projects in the UK and Europe, focusing on electrical, instrumentation, and electromechanical scopes, with plans to develop multi-technical integrated projects. Currently, we are a strategic partner on the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project, constructing two new EPR units in South West England.

What is your role?
  1. Carry out a CDM review of construction drawings and supporting documents in an agreed template.
  2. Comment, follow progress, and find technical solutions for technical deliverables including mounting configuration, cable specifications, interface documents, ECS coding, layout drawings, block cable diagrams, consumer lists, cable lists, system schematics, etc.
  3. Work closely with the Ineo Engineering Manager, Building Managers, and the Design Team.
  4. Keep senior management and stakeholders informed of project status and developments impacting schedule and nuclear safety through regular reports.
  5. Collaborate with other contractors to find optimized integrated solutions, challenge technical options, and support internal preferred options.
  6. Attend meetings with the Client (NNB) and other contractors (MEH and electrical contractors) in Bristol, Paris, or Lyon.
  7. Report weekly to the Project Manager on key project information, changes, and issues.
  8. Ensure that NNB’s technical requirements are designed in accordance with British and European Standards.
  9. Provide technical assistance on electrical design deliverables.
  10. Develop and implement engineering design solutions according to standards and best practices.
  11. Create technical specifications and supplier documentation aligned with standards.
  12. Perform design analysis and checks per standards.
  13. Verify deliverables classified as QRAs, as per the Quality Assurance requirements.
What profile are we looking for?
  1. Experience in the nuclear sector.
  2. Good knowledge of British Standards for electrical design and installation works.
  3. Ability to navigate and review using Navisworks for assessment purposes.
