Job summary

Creative Assembly in Horsham is seeking a Seasoned Head of UI/UX to shape and lead the department, building a scalable structure and balancing in-house expertise with external partnerships.

You will recruit, mentor and align cross-functional teams with the franchise strategy, budgets, and project roadmaps, ensuring data-driven design, accessibility, and high-quality UI across games. This hybrid role requires collaboration with Game Design, Engineering, Art and Production.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of UI/UX or related field with leadership experience.
• Proven track record building and leading UI/UX departments.
• Ability to balance creative vision with business and technical constraints.
• Experience in AAA or major franchise projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead recruitment, training and mentoring of top UI/UX talent.
• Craft the vision and strategy for the UI/UX for the Franchise with the UI Product Owner.
• Work with Production to establish budgets, timelines and staffing.
• Own the long-term UI/UX backlog as part of the Gameplay Platform.
• Drive quality standards, design systems, documentation and workflows.
• Ensure a data-driven approach to UI/UX decisions using player feedback.
