We are delighted to be partnering with a fantastic utilities business to appoint an exceptional Head of Treasury.

This is a rare opportunity to join a high-profile, infrastructure-focused organisation operating within a critical and fast-evolving sector. Backed by a leading private equity investor, the business is entering an exciting phase of growth, investment and transformation, with Treasury positioned at the centre of strategic decision making.

The successful candidate will lead the Treasury function across liquidity, funding, cash management, financial risk and banking strategy, while partnering closely with the CFO, investors and senior leadership team to support the organisation’s long-term growth agenda.

This role offers the opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands‑on Treasury oversight within a commercially driven and highly visible environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Treasury function across cash, liquidity and funding management
• Oversee financing activities, debt facilities, refinancing and lender relationships
• Manage banking relationships, funding partners and external stakeholders
• Lead cash forecasting, liquidity planning and working capital strategies
• Oversee FX, interest rate and counterparty risk management activities
• Drive Treasury transformation, systems enhancement and process optimisation initiatives
• Ensure robust Treasury governance, controls and policy frameworks are maintained
• Partner closely with the CFO, executive leadership team and investors on strategic financial initiatives
• Support capital structure planning, investment activity and growth projects
• Lead and develop a high‑performing Treasury team

Candidate Profile

• Proven Treasury leadership experience within a complex corporate or PE‑backed environment
• Strong expertise across funding, liquidity, debt, cash management and Treasury risk
• Experience managing sophisticated banking and financing structures
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to operate within a fast‑paced, investor‑led environment
• Utilities, infrastructure, energy or capital‑intensive sector experience advantageous
• AMCT qualification or ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified preferred
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
